The Volunteer Groups and Committees section describes opportunities for you to participate in an ISTM Standing Committee, Professional Group or Interest Group. These volunteer activities are often the driving forces of the many resources offered by ISTM to its membership.
The ISTM TravelMed List Serve is an active internet-based discussion group that you won't want to miss out on! Members of the List Serve receive special notices and bulletins, and have the opportunity to "safely" discuss some of your more unusual cases with other travel medicine professionals.
There are two main publications of the ISTM, to which we invite your submissions. The Journal of Travel Medicine is a peer-reviewed journal with up-to-date information on prevention and self-treatment of disease, immunizations, clinic management and patient and staff education. NewsShare is a lively newsletter full of timely information about ISTM activities and travel medicine news.
GeoSentinel Global Surveillance Network is a worldwide communication and data collection network for the surveillance of travel related morbidity created by the ISTM and CDC.
EuroTravNet is a multi-disciplinary network of highly qualified experts with demonstrated competence in diseases of interest, ideally in the field of travel advice, tropical medicine, clinical diagnosis of the returned traveler, and detection, identification and management of imported infections.
