ISTM Travel Industry and Public Education Committee (TIPEC)
- Responsibile for creating proactive programs for making the travel industry and individual travelers more aware of travel health
- Develop and propose initiatives to increase awareness of travel health issues, travel medicine and the ISTM among the travel industry and the public
- Identify and develop contacts within the press, such that the ISTM is viewed as an expert source of information and is reached to for comment on traveler's related health issues as they emerge
- Develop and maintain relationships with health professionals within the travel industry as a source of potential increased membership and influence of the ISTM
