Peanuts Served on Aircraft I am wondering if there is a possibility of the Travel Medicine Society becoming more pro-active in alerting airlines to the seriousness of serving peanuts on flights for snacks. Peanut allergies are becoming more prevalent and with the potential for severe anaphylaxis to occur in these individuals even after just smelling them, I think it would be important to perhaps eliminate peanuts completely from flights. I personally have a grandchild who cannot fly without her parents being assured that she will be on a peanut free flight.
