Yellow Fever in Burkina Faso

Two cases of yellow fever have been reported in Burkina Faso. Each occurred in a village in Batie district. Gaoua region near to the border with Cote d’Ivoire. The first case was fatal but the second is recovering. An emergency vaccination programme is underway. The last cases of yellow fever in Burkina Faso occurred in 1983.
