The Africa-European Conference on Travel Medicine is a unique hosting by The International Society of Travel Medicine and The South African Society of Travel Medicine. This educational conference is a first for Africa and will take place in the vibrant city of Cape Town, in its world-class convention centre. The conference will focus on a variety of topics highly relevant to travel medicine, and these include Travel and Migrant Epidemiology in Africa, Cross Border Employment, Infectious Diseases and the Traveller, Air Travel Risks and Aeromedical Evacuation, A Global View of Rickettsiosis, Venomous Creatures of Africa, Trauma Hazards in Africa, Southern African Zoonosis, Health Risk Profiles of African Game Parks, Travel-related Skin Disorders, Surgical Safaris and much more.

We invite Travel Health Practitioners, Infectious Disease Specialists, multinational company Occupational Health Practitioners, Air and Shipping Line Medical Directors, NGO, Refugee and Humanitarian Aid Workers, Medical Assistance Company personnel, Pharmaceutical Company Researchers and Developers, Nurses, Students and Travel Health Journalists and anyone else concerned with the health and welfare of travellers :
