Biography
Nahoko Sato graduated from St. Luke’s College of Nursing in 1991 and began her career as an occupational health nurse at a major general trading company, where she worked for three years. She then spent much of her 20s honing her language and translation skills in various countries, including Singapore, Canada, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In 2000, she joined the Medical Services division at Japan Airlines Co., Ltd., where she managed cabin crew health and provided in-flight first aid training. She earned an MA in Health Science, with a specialization in health sociology, from Tokyo University in 2007. Since 2008, she has worked in Flight Crew Health Management and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2022. In addition to her role at Japan Airlines, she became a Clinical Assistant Professor at St. Luke’s International University in 2021.
Sato has earned multiple professional certifications, including the CTH in 2009, Industrial Health Consultant certification in 2017, and psychologist certification in 2022. She has been an active member of the Japanese Society of Travel and Health since 2003, focusing on nursing education, and has served as a board member since 2011.
