Dengue in a Changing World: What Travel Medicine Providers Need to Know
25 March @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am
The incidence of dengue has grown dramatically worldwide in recent decades, with the number of cases reported to WHO increasing from 505,430 in 2000 to 14.6 million in 2024. The disease is now endemic in more than 100 countries. Cases reported among travelers have also increased, confirming dengue as the most frequently diagnosed arboviral infection in post-travel settings.
Vaccines represent one of the primary tools for dengue control and have recently been introduced into national immunization programs in many low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
