Biography
Francesca Norman, MBBS, BMedSci, FISTM, graduated from St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine in 1997, earning an intercalated BMedSci in Medical Science in 1996. After completing house officer and senior house officer training in London, she obtained the MRCP (UK) and pursued specialist training in Internal Medicine. She later earned a Master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health in Madrid, Spain.
Since 2007, she has been a clinician at the National Referral Unit for Tropical Diseases within the Infectious Diseases Department at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid. Her research focuses on emerging and neglected infections, as well as travel and migrant health.
